BBC AMERICA EYES DRAMA SERIES THE FALL STARRING GILLIAN ANDERSON:
“BBC America is eyeing the five part series which I’m told would likely air as part of the network’s Dramaville lineup in either fall or winter, very close to the airing of the series in the UK.While BBC America has yet to close any deals to bring the series to the US, I’m told that the network is very hot on acquiring the series given the star status of the two lead actors: Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) and Jamie Dornan (Once Upon A Time). PBS had largely been considered to be another possible US home for the series, though I hear that they are unlikely to acquire the series for their Masterpiece: Contemporary series.” (full article here)

The Journalism Foundation is hosting A Priceless Evening – a gala event to benefit the Foundation’s work supporting free and ethical journalism around the world – next Tuesday (May 22). The gala will raise money to support The Journalism Foundation’s global projects, including the establishment of a new college of journalism in Tunisia, and also a programme to train young journalists in South Sudan.
The night will culminate in an auction of money-can’t-buy lots conducted by Simon de Pury, including lunch with Gillian Anderson, cooked by Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s.
According to Gillian’s official page, this lunch will take place at a later date; she will NOT be at the event on May 22.
