A tour inside Gillian Anderson’s house in Sri Lanka: Gillian said she purchased this traditional country estate ‘on a whim’ in 2008 after it had lain abandoned for 30 years. The property sits on seven acres and is bordered by a coconut plantation and a jungle. The main house spans 10,000 square feet and has 40-foot ceilings in some rooms. Ms. Anderson said. that the original owners designed it to be large enough for an elephant to walk through.
